He asked the West to rush the shipments!
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged Western arms shipments at the world's most prestigious security policy forum. One of the main topics at the Munich Security Conference is war. The opening speech of the 59th event was delivered by Zelenskiy via video link and he tried to argue by referring to the urgency.

The Ukrainian president stated that it is possible to defeat Russia this year, but Ukraine, which is defending itself against the Russian attack, needs more and faster support for this. Russian weapons are "also directed against Europe", they threaten the freedom and security of the entire continent. This danger can only be averted together, therefore there should be no further delay in the delivery of weapons, Zelenskiy reasoned.
In the Ukrainian territories, violent conscription continues, where all men are immediately taken to the front.
The Ukrainians are maintaining themselves at the cost of huge losses and more than half of the population does not want to go to war with the Russians.
