For the time being, Russian forces are not speeding up their advance around Bahmut, so it is unlikely that they will reach their goal by February 24.
In the meantime, the Ukrainian forces are considering whether to give up the city if they deem that holding the city requires too many resources. For the time being, they can still hold their own, because the Russians have not stepped up their advance, although they are still slowly occupying the suburbs.
Meanwhile, the British Ministry of Defense published its estimate, according to which it estimates the Russian losses at 200,000, of which the number of dead is between 40,000 and 60,000.
There was no mention of the Ukrainian dead, however, according to news from the front, the Ukrainian loss could be 70,000.
It is likely that this is why there is forced conscription in Ukraine, because they are slowly running out of soldiers who want to fight.
Many people would desert, but they are not discussed in the Ukrainian and Western media.
