Toxic compounds in groundwater!
Interesting measurements around the battery factory in Göd. The population was not happy that the government simply expropriated the area in order to secretly build a battery factory in the settlement. The locals did not believe, and still do not believe, that the factory's operators comply with environmental regulations. Therefore, the inhabitants of the settlement asked an institute to start measurements in the wells around the factory. The measurement results are amazing. The NMP level of the groundwater became amazingly high. Of course, the government and the owners of the factory denied these results. The people of Göd find it amazing that there is no independent expert in Hungary whose opinion the government would be forced to accept.
The interesting part of the story is that since then the wells around the factory have been buried so that no more samples can be taken from the soil. The Samsung factory is not really interested in environmental regulations and continues to expand the factory despite protests. FIDESZ experts and the government naturally reject the investigations and ask the population to accept the existence of the factory. Some families have already moved from the settlement.
