Members of the Fridays for Future group protested against climate change!
The demonstration is part of a wider "climate strike" called by the Fridays for Future group. It's an environmental movement inspired by Swedish activist Greta Thunberg's 2018 protest in front of the Stockholm parliament.
The Free Democrats, the party that controls the country's transport ministry, have rejected efforts to introduce general speed limits in Germany, phase out internal combustion engines and reduce road construction. The crowd does not understand why the program was changed and why the party is not willing to implement these measures. The German people want to do something about climate change, then the government should do it too! More demonstrations are expected.
