The 98-year-old former president wants to spend the rest of his time with his family!
Jimmy Carter is receiving palliative care - the care provided to people suffering from serious, life-threatening illnesses - at his home in Georgia - this was announced by The Carter Center, a foundation founded by the former US president.
The former president has already undergone several interventions, although it is not known why he decided not to undergo more hospital treatment?
