More and more dead on the Ukrainian side!
More and more Ukrainian soldiers are laid to rest in the Krasnopilszke cemetery in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine. The remains of local Ukrainian soldiers killed in the battles against the Russians in the Donbass are brought here to serve as their final resting place.
The bodies of many soldiers who died a heroic death could not be transported after the fighting - if they fell in an area under Russian control, they could only be exhumed and identified based on their DNA after the recapture of the region. The remains of other militants rest here because they lost their lives nearby and could not be brought home to their homeland.
