Delivers 29,000 tons of corn!
Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the first grain ship to leave the port of Odessa is heading south to Turkey. The vehicle, carrying 26,000 tons of corn, is following a strict route through a safe corridor in the Black Sea that was fixed in UN negotiations. Turkey primarily initiated the liberation of the port, because the Turks bought a lot of grain from Ukraine. They were very afraid that there would be a food shortage in the area. Turkey has good relations with Turkey, so Putin was inclined to the agreement. The Russians still think that Ukraine is crumbling from the war effort, but the West, especially America, is supplying a lot of weapons to the war and thereby fully committing the Ukrainians to American influence.
